Past
We started out with 4 members as a punk rock band back in early 2013 called Function 42. Due to a conflict that resulted in a band member leaving, that left just JC(Guitarist), Ben(Drummer), and Tim(Bassist). This became a learning opportunity to focus on the vision of our band pushing us in the direction of Metal Alternative. We changed our name to 9X in trying to establish a new identity. Interviewing different candidates for bass and guitar did not turn up a new member, thus it just remind the three of us. We pursued this new direction but felt the band name 9X was not enough for the musical change we created. Our new name became Mechanical Biscuit and the Matrix Chamber. We later changed to Mechanical Biocide and the Matrix Chamber as "Biscuit" did not have the punch we anticipated. We performed a few shows but due to scheduling conflicts and life events we decided to take a hiatus for a couple of years. In late 2019 the band got back together as creating music was a major piece in our life that was missing.
Present
We asked ourselves two main questions "How do we envision the band?" and "How do we want to express ourselves?". At that moment we knew we did not want to be another rock/metal band. We did not want to just do covers, we wanted to be creative and make music to set us apart from every other band out there but still cater to the masses. We decided on Epilogue as our band name, a conclusion to what had happened in our past experiences. To start, we created our music with the intention of keeping it instrumental however started to feel that we needed vocals to give our songs the edge. We have finaly found our vocalist, Carlos. Carlos was not what we envisioned as our vocalist. After listening to him for the first time we knew it was what we needed. Brining his experince and his dynamic screams it spun our music into a whole new realm.
